You will be greeted at your hotel, airport, port, or outside your cruise terminal and make your way to the most authentic, historic and famous places in Athens.

Panathenaic Stadium
You will begin your tour with a ride to the Panathenaic Stadium, also known as Kallimarmaro, which is the only major stadium in the world entirely built of white marble and one of the oldest. This stadium hosted the revival of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896 and is full of images of a glorious past.

Syntagma Square and the Parliament Building
Then, you will head to the today’s center of the city, the Syntagma Square and the Parliament Building, where you will be able to watch the impressive ceremony of the Changing of the Guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Panepistimiou Street
You will continue to Panepistimiou Street to see numerous neoclassical buildings still standing and dating back to the late 19th century, including The Academy, The University, and The National Library.

Lycabettus Hill
Next, you will driven to Lycabettus Hill (the highest hill of Athens), where you'll have the best panoramic view of the city for great photo opportunities.

Acropolis Hill-Parthenon
You will then visit the Acropolis Hill, where you will have the opportunity to see the Odeon of Herod Atticus, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion, the Propylaea, and of course, the famous Parthenon. From the Acropolis, you can also look down on the Ancient Agora, the Tower of the Winds, Monastiraki, and Plaka. Also, The Temple of Zeus, the largest in Ancient Greece, which took well over 700 years to build, is just a few minutes’ drive away.

New Acropolis Museum
Later, you will head over to the New Acropolis Museum, which opened in 2009 and is considered one of the best museums in the world.

Plaka and Monastiraki
Finally, you will continue on to Plaka and Monastiraki, where you will also visit the Roman agora, the Tower of the Winds, and the Ancient Greek Agora, which is considered to be the birthplace of democracy, philosophy, and free speech. Next and final stop will be a traditional Greek tavern with dishes of authentic Greek cuisine for lunch.

At the end of the day, your private transfer will escort you to the port, airport, or your hotel.
